Dear Parents, Families and School Community Members,
As you know earlier this week, Governor Baker announced an extension of the school closures throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts through Friday, May 1st, with a possibility of reopening on Monday, May 4th, 2020.
We recognize this change is significant to the initial three-week closure but please know that we will continue to be here for our students, staff and families! Yesterday, various members of our leadership team met with Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) officials and began work throughout our regional school district with our faculty and staff - to update our educational plan for the extended closure. Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District remains committed in its priority to provide access to learning opportunities in an equitable manner for ALL learners.
Please know how grateful I am for all you have been doing to keep yourselves safe; to provide structured remote learning opportunities for our students (and yourselves); and to offer help to friends and neighbors - so all our families are cared for and fed during this time. Please also know that the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District will continue to provide breakfast and lunches to our students without interruption throughout the duration of this closure.
As always, thank you for your partnership and support of the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District! There will be many questions, comments, queries and concerns expressed in the next few days, and we will be here to answer them. Afterall, together... #WeGotThis #SEBRSDLearnsTogether
