Hi Knox Trail Families,
The beginning of the school year is fast approaching. I just wanted to reach out to you with a few last-minute reminders. First, we will be returning to the pre-pandemic school arrival and departure times. Parent drop-off and walkers will be allowed to enter the building at 7:30 a.m. Staff members will be outside directing parent drop off in the parking lot. If your child takes a bus to school, please check the district website for the bus schedule. Busses will release students to enter the school at 7:30 a.m. Student dismissal begins at 2:05 at the end of the school day.
Many of you have asked questions about your child's schedule. Students will receive their schedules on the first day of school. There is only one team of teachers for each grade level. The only difference between one student's schedule and another is the order that they take their classes. Another common question is about school supplies. The school supplies lists are on the school website.
Finally, if you are a new fifth-grade student, a new seventh-grade student, or new to the district, we have a New Student Orientation on Thursday, August 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the Knox Trail gym. If you cannot attend, I will post the presentation on the school website and our Facebook page.
