The Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District has been accepted into the League of Innovative Schools (The League), a national network of school districts that connects and supports the nation’s most forward-thinking leaders in education. The League is organized by Digital Promise, a global nonprofit working to expand opportunity for every learner by bridging solutions across research, practice, and technology. Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District was selected from a competitive national pool of applicants based on its educational leadership, demonstrated commitment to excellence, innovative vision for learning, key achievements, and collaborative spirit. The Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District (SEBRSD) offers several innovative programs and services focused on preparing students for college and careers. Key initiatives include career technical education, early college programs, and integration of technology and STEAM education across the curriculum.

The Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District is recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a 2025 Green Ribbon Award Nominee for our achievements over the past seven years in three essential areas of school sustainability: 1) reduced environmental impact and costs, 2) improved health and wellness, and 3) effective environmental and sustainability education.
Cubs Corner Preschool
Our district-wide "Cubs Corner" Preschool program serves young people ages 3-5 from the communities of Spencer, East Brookfield, and the surrounding Southern Worcester County. It is recognized throughout the region and Commonwealth as a top preschool program through our local, regional, and state partnerships. Career Technical Education
David Prouty High School offers DESE-approved Chapter 74 Career Technical Education (CTE) Opportunities designed to meet Worcester County's diverse workforce needs! In 2018, David Prouty High School began a journey to provide high-quality Career Technical Education (CTE) programming to meet Worcester County's ever-changing workforce demand. Today, David Prouty offers our students some of the most innovative and engaging programs around in Early Education and Care, Business/Marketing, Criminal Justice, and Environmental Science and Technology!
Early College Designation
In 2025, David Prouty High School earned the Early College Designation with Worcester State University, which means our high school program has been officially recognized to partner with the university, allowing students to take college-level courses and earn college credit while in high school. This designation helps students get a head start on their college education, at no cost, reduces the time and cost to a degree, and prepares them for college-level work and career paths.
