David Prouty High School has a diverse set of Career and Technical Education programs ON SITE designed to put students in the driver's seat for their futures with four relevant, high-demand options for career training and real-world experience.
At DPHS, students who are interested have the option to enter multi-year programs that provide hands-on study in on of the following:
Public Safety
Early Education and Care (Early Childhood Education)
Environmental Science
Marketing`
As part of the CTE program, students get intensive programming in their chosen field, with capstone projects and internship opportunities with outside organizations directly using their training without leaving their friends or David Prouty High School!

The THEME of this week's student section at the football game will be NEON NIGHT! Friday, September 25 @ 7:00 p.m.! Wear your neon gear and don't forget to thank our awesome Student Council for the neon necklaces and bracelets! Get yours at the game!
On Tuesday, September 22, Uplay Disc Golf - a non-profit whose mission is "To promote health and well-being and enhance communities through disc golf education for all" and which was founded in 2017 by pro disc golfer Zoe An Dyke, shared some of their touring professional coaches with our school as guest instructors for some Physical Education classes to introduce students to the fundamentals of disc golf. The high-energy, interactive session included demonstrations and skill-building drills for students to try from some of the best professional players in the world, creating a great memorable experience for each student involved. DPHS received two portable baskets and 90 discs (30 starter sets) our coaches use for teaching, plus our Uplay curriculum book. Uplay also provides a free ticket link for every student, staff member, and their families (2 tickets per person) to attend the Disc Golf Pro Tour event in Leicester this weekend (see below).
Thanks to our PE staff, Mrs. Johanna Fazio, and Mr. Tab Bassett, who organized this special event, and to the Uplay organization and the visiting pros who dedicated this time to share with our students.
Uplay is extending a very generous offer with everyone--students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff--in the DPHS school community: free tickets to attend this weekend's Disc Golf Pro Tournament at Maple Hill Disc Golf Course in Leicester! Go to our website or see the email for two free tickets!

Good afternoon! There was an incident in front of DPHS at approximately 2:35 p.m. this afternoon that drew several emergency service vehicles. We want to assure you that this incident was not an emergency involving something that happened inside the school and at no time were our students at risk. This involved a motor vehicle accident that the police department was on site to manage along with other responding EMS agencies. Thank you to Spencer Police, Spencer Fire, and local ambulance companies for their quick response and in always keeping our community safe!
