MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES

The David Prouty High School Library Media Center is an integral part of the program of studies at David Prouty High School. The Library Media Center program will empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, proficient researchers, and ethical users and creators of information. The Library Media Center staff is committed to supporting the academic, professional, and personal growth of the entire David Prouty High School community.

This mission is accomplished by:

• providing access to diverse materials and resources to students and staff.

• enhancing instruction and the transmission of information.

• encouraging intellectual curiosity and creativity.

• developing 21st century information literacy skills.
