Good afternoon,
At 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, a test of some emergency systems at David Prouty High School were performed as part of a routine systems check. Because part of this test includes a recorded announcement broadcast over the public address system within the building and nearby grounds that indicates an emergency has been detected, we want to make sure anyone present or nearby the building who may have heard it is aware this was only a test. Occupants were made aware of the test as well before it began.
This test concluded at 4:10 p.m. All security systems are online and functioning normally and any subsequent alerts would indicate an actual emergency.
