Updates to the DPHS school-year school calendar!
FOUR snow days (January 26, January 27, February 23, and February 24) plus the three remaining flood-related days in December have pushed DPHS's 180th Day of school to Wednesday, June 24th;
Although DPHS missed five days in December due to the flood, Thursday, January 29, 2026 was originally slated to be a full professional development day for teachers and no school for students but became a HALF DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS AT DAVID PROUTY HIGH SCHOOL ONLY and served as the 1st make-up day of 9 required so far;
Friday, April 3, 2026 was originally slated to be a no-school day for students and faculty / staff in observance of Good Friday; April 3 will now be a FULL DAY OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF AT DAVID PROUTY HIGH SCHOOL ONLY and will serve as the 2nd make up day of 9 required;
The remaining three missed days due to the flood that must be made up will be added to the end of the school as of now, along with the four snow days so far. If changes due to excessive snow days are necessary, updates will be shared as soon as they are known.
Transportation will be provided as usual on all make up days.
Please remember the 3 make-up flood days affect ONLY David Prouty High School and therefore make up days extend further into June for DPHS only. Please see the other district's school's calendars (Knox Trail Middle, East Brookfield Elementary, and Wire Village) for specifics on THEIR last day!
SAVE THE DATE!

Inclement weather, snow / ice delays and cancellations will be sent by the district when decisions about school have been made and you will receive automated calls and texts. Please be sure your most updated contact information is on file with the schools. Posts will also be made on the District's Facebook page. Snow days will impact the last day of school, which will be noted in Important Dates & Reminders, below, as well as being listed in the Events section of the DPHS website.
WHEN THE DISTRICT HAS A DELAYED OPENING, THE SCHEDULE CHANGES SLIGHTLY. WATCH FOR THE LIVE FEED OF THE DAY'S BELL SCHEDULE WHEN DELAYS ARE CALLED!

Spring Sports
Registration for Spring sports will open on FamilyID www.familyid.com starting Monday, February 16. Any student athlete interested must register on FamilyID and have an up-to-date physical exam on file with the building nurse.
To comply with state regulations, physical exams are required every 13 months to the day of the exam. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to ensure that a current physical remains on file for the entire athletic season. If a physical exam expires mid-season, a new copy must be provided to the building nurse for the student athlete to remain eligible to participate.
Physical exams can be emailed to breaultd@sebrsd.org, faxed to 508-885-8511, or hand-delivered by your student.
Health Tips
February is American Heart Health Month, a time to raise awareness about the importance of cardiovascular health for students, staff, and families.
With heart disease being the leading cause of death in both men and women in the United States, it’s important not only this month, but every day, to take care of your cardiovascular health.
Heart health begins early, and health habits developed during adolescence can have a lifelong impact. We encourage families to support heart-healthy choices at home and school, including:
Regular physical activity
Balanced nutrition with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins
Adequate sleep
Stress management
Avoidance of tobacco and vaping products
Families are reminded to notify the health office of any student with a diagnosed heart condition, syncope (passing out), exercise-related symptoms, or a new medical diagnosis. Please ensure that all emergency health plans and prescribed medications are current and on file.
Please call or email the nurse with any questions or concerns!
Registration for Spring sports for David Prouty and Knox Trail will be open on Family ID starting Monday, February 16. Any student-athletes interested must register and have an up-to-date physical exam on file with the building nurse.
