Memo headingLogoDavid Prouty has a culture of continuous improvement! We strive for improvement in every aspect of teaching & learning and the student experience in order to support students being productive at their highest levels. We are in the business of student achievement and building a positive school culture--these are the only agendas at DPHS that count!

New This Week @ DPHSIMPORTANT

Change to end-of-year date!

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has granted David Prouty High School a waiver for the three remaining days that were due to be made up following the flood in December!

The four snow days that the entire district incurred will still need to be made up, so now all Spencer East Brookfield District schools will have their final day of the school year on Thursday, June 18th!

Please see our updated calendar online, as well as our list of Important Dates & Reminders below!

Distracted Driving SpeakerOn Friday, April 3, DPHS students were treated to a presentation by Kyle Simpson on the subject of distracted driving.  Kyle has first-hand experience with the tragedy possible from driving while distracted, and shared his experience with the students as a means to motivate them to be safe drivers and realize their impact on others. Thank you to Ms. Ashely Leveillee for organizing this event for DPHS!

Health Tips

🌷

As we move into spring, seasonal allergies are becoming more common for many students. Seasonal allergies typically refer to allergies triggered by pollen. Pollen is only released by plants during certain times of the year; because of this, these allergies aren’t year-round.

In Massachusetts, tree pollen is the main allergen in the spring. Nasal allergies, caused by pollen, can lead to itchy, watery eyes, runny noses, sneezing, and coughing.

Please note that the nursing office does not stock or provide allergy medication. All allergy medications must be administered at home before the school day. If your student requires medication during the school hours, a physician’s order and parent/guardian permission must be on file per school policy.

Please call or email the nurse with any questions or concerns!
