Dear Teachers of the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District,
As we celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4–8, 2026, I want to extend my deepest personal gratitude to each of you for your unwavering commitment to our students and the communities of Spencer and East Brookfield.
Teaching is a monumental feat that requires immense passion and a tireless pursuit of excellence. Daily, you innovate, inspire, and transform ordinary moments into "extraordinary discoveries," turning curiosity into the confidence our students need to thrive and achieve. Whether in the classroom, on the athletic field, or through our innovative programs, your work is the heartbeat of our district.
This year has been another testament to your resilience. Your ability to maintain high-quality instructional experiences for our students—even in the face of unexpected challenges—continues to inspire me. I am consistently impressed by the dedication you show, often in hours that go unseen, to ensure every child in our regional district feels supported and valued.
On behalf of the School Committee and the entire administration, thank you for being the "shining stars" who make the world brighter for one student at a time. We are truly fortunate to have such a talented and dedicated faculty shaping the future of the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
Sincerely,
Paul S. Haughey, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District
