Stay tuned for Summer School 2026 Enrollment Information!

Summer SchoolStudents eligible for summer school will be receiving details about enrollment, including transportation information, shortly! Currently, because there is still time left in the school year, final eligibility lists are not known but students who are anticipated to need credit recovery in order to stay on track for graduation or make up lost credits will be offered space our free summer school program!

The program will run mornings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, July 7 - August 6 and will consist of two courses per day. Students who qualify are able to take one or both sessions this summer, and if they and successfully complete the program, reclaim up to two credits. Per the DPHS Student Handbook, qualifying for summer school requires students to have obtained at least a 50 for their final year-long grade.

The benefits of summer school include not repeating a course, retaining a place in the graduating cohort, and reducing the summer slide of academic progress! Please encourage your eligible students to enroll.

Students will also receive free breakfast and lunch, as well as transportation to and from DPHS!

Don't miss this FREE opportunity to get back on track before next school year, brought to you by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Early College High School grant!

This year's current issue presentation was about "sponge" cities and all things storm water management. Thanks to Mr. Barnett, Environmental Science CTE Teacher, for accompanying and helping prepare these students to show what they've learned in this important event!

May is National Fitness & Sports Month

May is National Fitness and Sports Month, a great reminder for students (and adults) to stay active and support their overall health and well-being. Physical activity offers many benefits, including improved brain health, better sleep, reduced anxiety/depression, strong bones/muscles, and weight management. Regular activity increases energy, enhances academic performance, and boosts self-esteem. Kids and teens ages 6-17 need at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Health Tips

🌷

As we move into spring, seasonal allergies are becoming more common for many students. Seasonal allergies typically refer to allergies triggered by pollen. Pollen is only released by plants during certain times of the year; because of this, these allergies aren’t year-round.

In Massachusetts, tree pollen is the main allergen in the spring. Nasal allergies, caused by pollen, can lead to itchy, watery eyes, runny noses, sneezing, and coughing.

Please note that the nursing office does not stock or provide allergy medication. All allergy medications must be administered at home before the school day. If your student requires medication during the school hours, a physician’s order and parent/guardian permission must be on file per school policy.

Please call or email the nurse with any questions or concerns!
