This week we will have a special schedule for students due to final exams. Final exams are an important measure of student learning and account for 15% of each final semester grade. Due to this importance, there will be a special schedule for students so they can focus on two 90-minute exams per day on Tuesday 1/17 through Thursday 1/19.
These specially scheduled days will include an official end time of 11:00 AM, with bus dismissal at 2:05 PM for any student that cannot arrange earlier transportation. Students that stay in the building after 11:00 AM will have attendance taken in the cafeteria and be monitored by school faculty. Once students leave the building, they will not be able to return back to the building.

Make Up Exams
On the day of the missed exam Email Lynn- whitel@sebrsd.org the names of any
students who have not taken your exam, so arrangements can be made for them to take the exam.
Exam Day Requirements and Procedures
1. Midterm Exams and/or assessments are required for all students for all classes.
2. The beginning and end of the exam will be announced over the intercom.
3. Students should bring reading material with them in case they finish early.
4. Tardy students will not be admitted after the beginning of the exam.
5. Tardy students will wait in the cafeteria and take the missed exam from 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.
6. If applicable, students must return all class materials prior to the beginning of the Exam. If a student does not have materials, they will be allowed to complete the scheduled exam with the understanding they will receive a zero if forgotten materials are not returned by end of the day January 20, 2023.
7. Students should not leave their assigned room during the 90-minute exam unless there is an emergency. Teachers need to contact the office if a student needs to exit an exam room.
8. All cell phones, earbuds, and smartwatches are to be placed in a cell phone holding area or in bags, NO student is to have a cell phone on their person. A student who accesses these items during a testing session is subject to receiving a zero for that exam and disciplinary action.
9. Tardy students who are not taking an exam, but are present in the building must
remain in the cafeteria. No movement in the hallways is permitted.
10. No student is allowed to leave the school grounds before 11:00 a.m. unless dismissed by the rules outlined in the student handbook.
11. Students who are absent must have an excused absence as defined in the student handbook in order to take the exam at a later time.
12. Bus transportation will be at the usual time, 2:05 p.m.
