SPENCER, MA - April 11, 2023 - The Commission on Public Schools, at its March 5-6, 2023 meeting, voted to accept the Special Progress Report of David Prouty High School and to continue the school's accreditation. While the Committee acknowledges that progress has been made as noted below, until all cited concerns have been satisfactorily resolved the school will remain on probation for the Standard for Accreditation on Community Resources for Learning.
The Commission was pleased to learn of the following:
- the major renovation which has been designed by JWA
- the plan for new B and C building, which will address all identified building challenges
The Commission is requesting a Special Progress Report, due September 1, 2023 to provide an update on the following concerns related to the school’s probation status to determine which of these items has been addressed:
- detail the progress to date of the facility/building project renovation
