Good Afternoon,

Our first Preschool Parent Workshop of the year was a success! We had 13 parents attend the event on November 15th.

Erin Hutchins, BCBA, started the evening with a presentation about the functions of behavior and how our responses can reduce or increase behavior.

Steven Caligaris, a parent and SEPAC member, shared information about the district's SEPAC and encouraged parents to attend the virtual meetings the first Monday evening of each month.

Amanda Hull shared information related to our new preschool curriculum, Three Cheers for Pre-K, and walked parents through the steps to access activities, children's literature, and on-line games that relate to the themes highlighted in preschool each week.

Jayne Hines ended the night engaging parents in some hands-on games they can play with their children, provided activities and shared strategies to assist in building independence in preschool students.

We are so appreciative of Mrs. Leveilee and the high school students from David Prouty's Early Education and Care Program as they provided children with games, activities and crafts so that their parents could attend the workshop.

We are looking forward to our winter Parent Workshop which will have a focus on building communication skills in preschool students.
