Every year the Department of Fish and Wildlife brings brook trout eggs to partner schools around Massachusetts so students can help raise them.
This year 7th grade received 200 eggs and will work on raising them until June, when we will determine the best body of water to release them into.
Knox Trail became a partner school in 2017, and we have enjoyed the opportunities to learn more about these fish and our ecosystem here in Spencer-East Brookfield.
