Dear Knox Trail Families,
Our highest priority at Knox Trail is the safety and security of our students. Lunch and recess can be a challenging time to ensure our student's safety. We want to enlist your help to ensure our students are never in harm's way.
We currently have as many as 135 students in a grade-level class. When they go to lunch and recess, we only have two to three staff members available to watch them. To help better manage this situation, I'm recruiting Knox Trail family volunteers to assist us during lunch and recess.
There are four lunch periods. Each is 20 minutes long. The first lunch begins at 10:50 a.m., and the last lunch ends at 12:20 p.m. Immediately following lunch, students have a ten-minute recess, in summary, that's an hour and a half per day.
All volunteers would need to pass a CORI background check. Fill out this form and turn it into the Central Office:
