Winter Concert Update

Winter Concert Update

It is with great disappointment to notify you that our return to live in-person concerts is on hold.  The Christmas Concert initially scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 15th, has been rescheduled to a virtual performance, which will be available for viewing on Wednesday evening, December 22nd.

Knox Trail Band students are to get off the bus at David Prouty High School on Tuesday, December 21 to rehearse and record.  They will be at DPHS for the entire school day.  Students will also take the bus home from DPHS; parent pick-ups and walkers should arrange to be dropped off and picked up at DPHS (unless allowed to walk home from DPHS). Lunch will be provided to all band students.

Students should arrive in their concert black. (Gentlemen: black pants, shirt, socks, shoes.  Ties can be any color and or festive.  Ladies, black pants, black shirt, skirt or dress, and black shoes).

Important Upcoming Dates!

Tuesday, December 14th-Gingerbread decorating will take place in school during HR and Win. Students may be dropped off early; I plan to be at Knox for 7.  Please do not drop off before 7.  Students are required to supply their own gingerbread houses.  Some students have chosen to work together and others alone.  Students may bring their gingerbread kits in early if they like or on the 14th. It may be easier if the gingerbread houses are assembled at home.  I have used a hot glue gun or melted sugar in a pinch.  I will have extra candy here for the kids to use. I am also extremely grateful for any donations of candy/Gingerbread decorating supplies.

***** Secret Santa sock exchange gifts are also due on the 14th.  We have a few band members who will not be here the following week, and we want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to participate.  The exchange will take place on the 16th during band.

**Students are also welcome to decorate stands, but I think Gingerbread houses have taken precedence this year.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Christina Noble
