SPENCER, MA – David Prouty High School will remain closed through the upcoming holiday break following a significant mechanical failure on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
At approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a sprinkler main line burst on the second floor of the building, resulting in water damage to both the second and main floors. While recovery efforts began immediately, school officials have determined that additional time is required to complete repairs and ensure the facility is safe for students and staff.
