To our Educator Community,
I begin in gratitude -- most heartfelt -- for making our 16th Launch and Service Day possible. Thank you for selecting our remarkable Ambassador Class of eighth-grade change makers!
Saturday's Launch Day was a celebration of your Ambassadors' compassionate leadership and instinct to do good. A demonstration of our Commonwealth's rich diversity and regional pride. And a powerful affirmation of this generation's leadership in unifying and transformative change. Below, please find some highlights from Launch. I also include a media advisory template for your use.
We began our nation's 250th anniversary year with a call for A Revolution of Love. A "re-founding of America" as envisioned by a new generation of bridge builders and changemakers. Our Morning Program closed with this poetic expression of our young leaders' aspirations ---A Revolution of Love. (Their words will bring you hope!)
The Class of 2026's first revolutionary act is leadership of Spring Service, in support of Cradles to Crayons. On Monday, Mary Cringan, Chair of our Educators' Advisory Group, and I invite you to join us for an Educator Information Call at 5:00 pm.
On the call, we'll recap Launch, preview Spring Service, and answer any questions you may have. We also welcome your ideas and feedback as we strive for continuous improvement. As previewed below, please find key dates for Spring Service.
Saturday's Revolution of Love was potent in hope and in the belief that -- together, anything is possible. We're grateful for the joy of welcoming your Ambassador and the privilege of partnership with you.
We look forward to Monday's call! Until then, please take good care in the winter storm.
With gratitude,
Carolyn
LAUNCH HIGHLIGHTS: On Saturday, the Class of 2026 united for A Revolution of Love
• IMAGES & SOUNDS from Launch Day by way of reels from Lisa Hughes of WBZ-TV and Service Hero College Hype, and this photo album.
• SOCIAL IMPACT: At three Impact Sites, your students united in service to communities across Massachusetts in partnership with 14 nonprofits -- including Cradles to Crayons, Wonderfund, Home Base, and La Colaborativa. Their impact was awe-inspiring -- more than 27,000 lives served and counting!
• SERVICE HEROES: We annually tribute 40 global, national, and local changemakers with a named team of Ambassadors. Led by a high school Alumni mentor, Service Hero teams are incubators for our values, culture, and leadership model. Our team ethos is central to the spirit of 35ONE and an effective structure for mobilizing our community to serve. You can check out our Service Heroes and Ambassador teams here.
