SPENCER, MA. - On Tuesday, April 5, representatives from the Spencer – East Brookfield Teachers’ Association and the Spencer – East Brookfield School District reached a tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement to cover the next three years.  A draft has been written of the contract and is currently being reviewed by a lawyer representing the District, the Massachusetts Teachers’ Association, and representatives from both sides.  Once the agreement is fully vetted, details of the agreement will be made available to SEBRSD School Committee members and members of SEBTA.  The contract will then need to be ratified the SEBRSD School Committee and by vote of the SEBTA membership.

Representatives have been working toward this agreement for seven months.  It is our belief that this agreement, once ratified, will allow both sides to work together for the benefit of the students of the Spencer – East Brookfield School District.

As always, thank you for all you do for the students of Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District!

 Sincerely Yours,

 Peter Bogren
