Please check your email for an important athletic notice. For the next two weeks, SWCL athletes may have only two family members in attendance at games. Non family members are not allowed, and all siblings must be accompanied by a parent. Masks must be worn at all times in the stands, and there is to be no eating or drinking in the stands. This will be reevaluated on January 15. Thank you for helping us keep our students and staff in school.

Recently, Marlee Domey, Gathan Chaput, Kadyn Murillo, Ava Sobosik, and Thomas Bain auditioned for districts. Thomas Bain made districts and an all state recommendation. He will be auditioning for all state in January. There will be a remote concert for Central Districts in March.
Due to Covid-19, the Winter Concert is moving from an in-person event to a virtual performance. The recording will take place on Tuesday, December 21st, at David Prouty High School. Both Knox Trail MS & David Prouty HS will be performing virtually together! Stay tuned!!

Dear David Prouty High School Families,
Today at 9:30 AM, we conducted a shelter-in-place to check our security procedures, and to conduct a K-9 search of David Prouty High School for drugs. The shelter-in-place lasted until. The School District, the Spencer Police Department, and the Central Mass Law Enforcement Council worked cooperatively on this search.
Due to detailed planning by both departments, the search was completed with minimal interruption to the student day. Students remained in their classrooms while the police officers and dogs patrolled the halls. At no time did students interact with the dogs and their handlers. No drugs were found during the search, but leads were generated. The school administration is following up on these leads at the school level.
As you are aware from our Student Handbook, K9 searches may be conducted at any time during the school year. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to work to provide a safe learning environment for our students.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth A. York
