SPENCER, MA - Kindergarten registration for the 2022-2023 school year for the residents of Spencer and East Brookfield is available in-person and online.
Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District is now accepting Kindergarten applications for the 2022-2023 school year for children who have reached the age of five (5) years old by August 31, 2022.
Kindergarten is offered at both Wire Village School in Spencer and East Brookfield Elementary School in East Brookfield, depending on residency. School hours are 8:25 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
To register your child for Kindergarten within the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District, parents/guardians need to submit the following completed documentation :
- Registration Form
- Nurse’s Form
- Medical Forms (physical and immunizations – see below)
- Original Birth Certificate for your child
- Two proofs of residency (see list of acceptable documentation)
- Transportation Form
- Home Language Survey
- Kindergarten Survey (needs to be completed and returned with your packet)
Medical forms with current physical (within one year of start date) and up-to-date immunizations must be completed by your physician and returned to Student Services two (2) days prior to the opening of school. Children will not be able to attend school unless all completed medical forms are provided. Your family physician must detail that your child has been given the following immunizations and also indicate the dates the immunizations were given:
- 5 doses Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus (DTaP)
- 4 doses Polio
- 3 doses Hepatitis B
- 2 doses Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine or Chicken Pox disease
- Proof of Lead Screening
- Vision and Hearing Screenings
All required forms, letters and notices can be obtained directly from the Department of Student Services and are also conveniently located on the district website. Completed Kindergarten packets should be returned as soon as possible to ensure that your child can start school in a timely manner.
In-person registration can be done at the office of Student Services located inside David Prouty High School at 302 Main Street, Spencer, MA 01562. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. year-round. Appointments are recommended but not required.

When you go to the front door there is a bell on the right that is marked Pupil Services, ring the bell and one of us will buzz you into the building. Please sanitize and sign in at the table on the right. Then our office is straight past the auditorium and at the end take a right, and our office is the first door on the left.
