Good Morning! This is a friendly reminder that Routine COVID Safety Checks (formerly known as Pooled Testing) will resume in all schools across the District on Wednesday, 2/9. This added level of testing will be reintroduced to our existing testing practices, which currently includes in-school symptomatic testing and at-home surveillance testing. If you have previously opted-in for your child to participate in test-and-stay at school, you do not need to complete another consent. If you have not yet opted-in to in-school testing, please visit https://www.cic-health.com/consent/ma to submit your consent form. For 13 years, World Read Aloud Day has called attention to the importance of sharing stories by challenging participants to grab a book, find an audience, and read-aloud! The global effort, created by the non-profit LitWorld and sponsored by Scholastic, is celebrated annually in over 173 countries and is all about bringing people together through the shared connection of reading aloud in all of our communities.

Thank you to our local DPW crews and our maintenance staff who have put in overtime to clear our schools and parking lots. We know it was a lot of hard work… It is appreciated! #ThankYou #ChooseSEBRSD

This #MLKDay, we feel this quote embodies how educators help kids grow to be their authentic selves: "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically... Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education."-Martin Luther King Jr.
