Dear SEBRSD Staff, Students, and Community Members,
Welcome back to a new school year! We are excited to invite you to take part in the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District Wellness Policy Committee. Our first meeting of the year is scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, at 4:30 PM. This initial meeting will be held remotely, and as a group we can later decide whether future meetings will be in-person, remote, or hybrid.
The Wellness Policy Committee plays an important role in shaping the health and well-being of our students and school community. By joining, you’ll be helping to:
Support healthier outcomes and greater educational success for students
Strengthen community engagement and partnerships
Support the whole child
Additionally, for schools that receive federal funding for meal programs, it is a federal requirement to maintain a wellness policy and involve the public in its development. Your voice and participation are essential in making this policy meaningful and effective.
If you are interested in joining the committee, please reach out to me at chevrettea@sebrsd.org.
Thank you for your commitment to our students and community. We hope you’ll join us in this important work!
Sincerely,
Ashley Chevrette
