Yesterday, March 2nd, 2026, the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District held a "Topping Off Ceremony" for David Prouty High School, celebrating the final steel beam being lifted and set in place - complete with signatures from students, staff, and community members. A student-led speech by Senior Class President, Lauren Tutlis, was the highlight of the morning, as she told community members what it means to have this innovative learning space for the future of our communities... We are here because of you and your tireless partnership and support. The David Prouty boys basketball team will host Hopkins Academy of Hadley in their round of 32 game of the division 5 playoffs, on Friday February 27, at 6:00 pm. Tickets will be cash only $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors over 65 are free.
Due to ongoing construction and the accumulation of snow, there will be overflow parking with a free shuttle located at Wire Village Elementary school, located at 60 Paxton Road, Spencer. This will be available from 5:30-6:30 and immediately following the conclusion of the game.

David Prouty High School European Travelers (2026 Edition), Day 9: Budapest! The last day before flight home. We toured Budapest today, seeing the presidential palace, Matthias church, the chain bridge, and the parliament building, among a few other major landmarks. Students were able to walk around the center and see the history as well as shop a little. Enjoyed our last dinner as a family on this trip and ready to go home.
Tomorrow our team takes the mat at the CMAC Leagues Qualifier and we are READY!

Prouty Girls Varsity Basketball enters the Division 5 MIAA Tourney as they travel to McCann Technical High School on Wednesday, 2/25 at 6:00 pm. McCann Tech is located at 70 Hodges Cross Road, North Adams. Tickets will be cash only: $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children.
